As an artist, I am constantly scouring my surroundings to see what I can find to photograph or paint. But sometimes art sneaks up on you in the most unexpected places when your weren't even looking. Who would have thought that a random gas station or metro stop could pass as a museum exhibit. See what I mean with these images:

Exhibit A: Seattle Public Library:
When I traveled through downtown Seattle, I had no idea I was looking at a library when I spotted this enormous modern glass building.

The elevator ride was rad.

And the seats reminded me of Tetris.

Exhibit B. Aeroporto de Porto.

Landing in Porto, Portugal meant being in a spaceship!

Exhibit C: Madrid Airport.

Meant being in another spaceship!

Museum or Airport?

Exhibit D: Paris Metro
I expected to see quite a bit of art in Paris. And I heard about the Baroque metro stops. But these are totally unexpected. Check these out!

Exhibit E: Claes Oldenburg.
I've seen lots of bikes in the city. But none like this one:

Exhibit F:
Los Angeles Gas station

Pumping gas never looked this good.

Exhibit G: Salk Institue, San Diego
When I heard that this building had something to do with Biology, I was like whoa.

Exhibit H: Binocular Building, Venice CA

Venice Beach is no stranger to strange art. But a building shaped like binoculars?

Please feel free to add any art that you have found too! I know that there's a lot more unexpected art to be discovered!
