I recently stumbled upon an interesting infographic by DataPointed which depicts the population changes in major US cities between the 2000 and 2010 Census data. Some cities saw major growth, while others experienced an influx in emigration, for example Detroit and New Orleans. The shifts in population and demographics are likely to cause changes in targeting strategies for marketers.
See if you can guess the city below: (scroll down for the answer)

Wear Today is a blog that has me particularly amused.
Ed Kim of Google Creative Labs has documented in a blog what he wears each day. From a design perspective, it's lovely. I especially love the snorkel gear.

In possibly one of the coolest infographics of all time, you can view cities based on locals vs tourist spots. Using geotagged photos, the maps were created to distinguish tourist's pictures from local's. It's particularly useful in finding off-the-beaten-path places to visit.
Here's a detail view of New York City:

There's nothing like a well designed infographic video to really get a message across. This brief video is about a documentary called "Waiting for Superman". The film focuses on education reform. It shows how education is the key foundation to solving many of the world's problems, but a system that has been failing students in America. Here's one of the possible reasons.
View this video, a wonderful infographic presentation.

I love infographics. Maybe it's because I am a visual learner. Or because I am fond of graphic design, OR maybe it's because I prefer to scan a page than actually read it. Whatever the reason, watch this TED talk where Gary Flake demos Pivot, a new way to browse and arrange massive amounts of images and data online. I just downloaded it, and it's awesome.
